Why is it called Platipus?

The vision was to have a social platform for young adults and "The Social Platipus" was the name that almost came to be. It was then shortened to "Platipus"

Is Platipus affiliated with any specific religious denomination?

No, however, our common denominator is believing in Christ as Lord and Savior for your eternal salvation. We hold to the essential doctrines of Christianity outlined in our organization's statement of beliefs

Is Platipus exclusive for young adults?

Sort of... We target younger people because we our trying to meet their needs through technology. However, outside of this demographic there is still opportunity as a pastor, group leader, elder, or group member to interact within our platform
